Samsung Electronics are looking to the future by promoting leaders aged in their 30s and 40s to the company’s board of directors.
The tech giant on Thursday declared promotions for a total of 198 executives including 68 vice presidents, 113 directors, 1 fellow and 16 masters, adding that the decision was made regardless of job position or length of service.
Samsung said that the company uses a performance-based system and they are aiming to strengthen leadership for continuous growth.
Foreigners and women made up 17 of those promoted, up from 10 in the previous year.
