Not sure why Nokia didn’t send review units to GSMarena for so long, but it looks like Nokia is starting to send review units again.

Yes they did review the Nokia tablet though, which is a good thing.

I didn’t know that about the uniscoc SoC. I’ll definitely be interested in what the reviews will be like. Budget Nokia phones definitely don’t get enough credit for their updates. Idk what its like for places that have Xiaomi and Realme, but here in the States, a lot of budget phones don’t get ANY updates, much less 2. And if this was Motorola does one OS update and 2 years of security but they have released many phones on an oudated OS and called the updgrade to the current version right now and call that their one promised upgrade… And Samsung would promise even more updates and charge $100 more for it! If Nokia can make sure the thing runs smooth I think if could actually very decent offering

A gsmarena review on a Nokia phone? That’s a first, in like 3 years.

HMD Global, Not again! Last year they had launched same series phones with similar specifications (5.3 and 5.4) with same Android 10 OS in the same year. This time also they had repeated the same for G20 and G21 with same Android 11 OS in the same year.
As per their policy, both the phones will get only 2 OS updates (Android 12 and 13) with additional year of security updates. At least they should have launched G21 with latest Android 12. Not sure, why they are wasting their time, money and other other resources on same thing.

I’m not sure if this was intentional or not, but it ironically shows how pointless this phone is and how nobody really cares. Also “HMD decided to pre-install ExpressVPN and Spotify, which isn’t a great look if you’re after purity.” – if I’m looking correctly, it looks like it has full range of pre-installed bloatware including netflix and linkedin… Simply put, another day, another garbage by HMD.

Anyway, “underspecced for its price” is true, no need to defend it GSMA. T606 looks promising on the paper, but in reality, it’s closer to SD 625 from 2016.
